Laura Sanaz (born Laura Spichtig, 1997) is a pianist from Switzerland, currently living in The Hague. In her solo music, she blends key instruments such as piano, synthesizers, and the Hohner Clavinet Pianet Duo with electronic effects, creating rich, layered electro-acoustic soundscapes. Through preparations on her instruments and unique playing techniques, she creates a constantly evolving palette of sound with soft harmonies and drifting melodies. Laura Sanaz brings her music to the stage primarily through interdisciplinary projects and workes next to her solo music closly with the norwegian singer Emily Adomah in her duo VELVET NOI.
In January 2024, she successfully completed her Master of Arts in Music Performance, Classical Piano, at the Hochschule Luzern – Musik. During her master’s studies, Laura Sanaz deepened her passion for free improvisation, working intensively with Magda Mayas on prepared piano. She went on to complete a CAS in Free Improvisation at FHNW Basel under the guidance of Andrea Neumann. She is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in New Audiences and Innovative Practices at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, where she continues to expand her interdisciplinary artistic practice.
